    '67 Temperature Gage

I bought a new 250 deg. Temperature Gage for my '67 Vette. It is a lisenced Delco Replacement. I want to connect it up temporarily to test it before installing it. I will connect the approperate post to +12 Volts, and the other post to the sending unit. My question is: Which of the 4 post is the +12, and which one is to the sending unit? Are the 2 horizontal ones the + and -, and are the 2 vertical ones the mounting post? Or is it a combination of the 4? They all appear to be insulated. The instructions that comes with it only mention about moving the needle to adjust it. Speaking of the needle: Is it normal for it to come pointing down around 8 o'clock? Should it turn rather easy with your fingers? Where exactly should you preset it? How far below the 100 deg. line? If you will, please send me any help via my email address: ibowhunt@hughes.net This is my first time posting to the NCRS, and I found it very difficult in finding the "New Thread" icon. I'm affraid I won't find this post to look for any of your help postings......Herb
