    54 steering box rebuild?

    Im getting ready to install my column and I'm wondering if I should just rebuild it anyway. Seems to turn smoothly but I cant tell if there is anything really wrong with it. Would I be $ ahead just to do it since its out? Thanks folks.

      I would check on parts before you do anything. I do not rebuild the C1 boxes and know the parts are expensive and getting harder to get in good quality. The only one I would recommend for this job is Tom Riena at Corvette Steering in Anderson SC. You can tell him I send you, he's a good guy and if he has the parts would be the guy to use. Good luck.
