    62 FI Electric Choke testing

    what is the correct test method for the electric choke on the FI unit? I have applied 12 volts to the power side with the other grounded. The wire coil gets hot but the coil spring does not move. What could have failed (how does the heat get to the wound coil?)
    She starts every time if I manually set the cold start lever. The hot start is another issue.
