Does anyone know if the heater hose clip and mounting bracket (AIM 1, M4, 3770259 and AIM 11-13, B2 item #6 3914532) were left on the 68 A/C Big Block cars? I seem to remember someone saying that because the hoses ran over the compressor this bracket was not there and there were no holes in the fender. This was one way how to tell an A/C car from a non A/C car. This difference is not really shown very clearly in the C60 section of the AIM. It does, however, address the differences in the Astro vent configuration between A/C and non A/C cars, C60, A8. Would they have gone through the trouble in making the two fender skirts different as to that heater hose bracket? I have that bracket on my A/C car and was wondering why? All other things point to originality of an A/C car, like that original covering of the driver side Astro vent hole. Should I remove and fill the holes while working on the compressor and hoses right now? Sure would be a lot easier while I’ve got them off right now. Never mind, maybe. Looking at AIM C60 D3 closer I see in view C that that clip is shown on the A/C car with BB and is filled. I guess next question is how was it filled?
