    Changing jack base C3

    The jack for my 71 is in great condition in all respects other than the base has deep corrosion pits on all sides. Is it possible to buy a donor jack from a later car (up to 79 from what I understand) and swap bases? I have the ability to make new pins that can replicate the original.
    Has anyone done such a thing???
