I've looked in the archives, and found threads related to removing a Hurst (or other non-stock shifter), but I'm interested in hearing from anyone who installed a Performance Plus shifter in place of the factory unit in a 1972 or similar C3.
Are there any needed body or mechanical modifications that can't be reversed at a later time if a switch back to factory is desired?
It's my understanding that the pull-up-the-T-handle-to-get-into-reverse feature is lost; is any other factory function lost?
Estimated time needed to make the swap (assuming decent mechanical skills)?
Any other thoughts?
