74 carb

Can anyone tell me the proper number for a 74 carb off a LS4 with a manual transmission? I can not find my Judging manual. I may have the opportunity to purchase a correct carb, but want to be sure.

Todd, That would be part number 7044221 with broadcast code FX. Russ

It is not the carb. The casting number is 7046611 the person is selling. Just because it comes off a 74 LS4 does not mean it is correct.

I too had been searching for a 7044221, FX Broadcast Code carburetor and could only find one's of that number having a DX Broadcast Code. Come to find out, while communicating with a Judge friend of mind, he shared the Revision 1 Page from his Pink Cover, 2nd Edition, '73 & '74 TIM & JG (page 61) that corrected the original FX typo. The "correct" Broadcast code for the '74, LS4, 4 Speed is DX. I have a copy of this revision page should you want one for your records.
