    New correct Holley carbs?

My 67 427/390 has an original carb that has a developed a crack in the main throttle area, and cant be repaired. I am told that someone is selling a "new", not NOS, Holley carb for this application ?

Its a top flight car, and I am not crazy about putting an incorrect carb on.

I believe Holly still make new carbs for replacements service units but they are generic and would not pass NCRS muster. Ed

Try calling Phil Cancilla out of Jersey. He is highly respected and does great restoration work. He had an original 3811 for me that was dated and restored. It ran/runs flawlessly. I would give him a call. I personally would try to get a correct carb if I were you, but thats just personal opinion. Good luck.....Ara

a good welder and a good machinist can fix it. you may not like the cost but any thing made from aluminum can be repaired.

Yes, Holley makes the exact carb for your Corvette with the part number stamped. They do not have dates as they leave it to the owner to stamp the correct date.

You will find these carbs correct and even the slotted screws are provided if you will indicate you are an NCRS member.

These carbs can be found on E-bay for $595.00 and the seller will pay the shipping inside the US if you again indicate you are an NCRS member.

I would contact Eric @ Vintage Muscle Car Parts. The guy has worked miracles with Holley's. His work is just awesome. Here is the link. Eric just did a carb for a friends L72. Great job at a fair price.

this website has a picture of a bottom of a lifter which shows why you should polish the surface. those grinder mark should be polished out to prevent cam lobe failure.
