67 Parking Light "J" Clamp and Rivets

Ok, here are some pics of what I presume is an original "J" clip on the DS of my car. As you can see it does not match the repro "J" clip that I bought.

1. Is there a better "J" clip that I can purchase or is my "original" not so original?

Also, notice how the "J" clip is riveted in place. It almost looks like there is a washer behind it.

2. Is that possible and does anyone else with a 67 see that?

I have included a picture of the body rivets and several other rivets and washers that came in the "J" clip set.

You can see I practiced with my new aircraft gun using two different rounding tools that came with the kit. What do you think?

Kirk,

The new J clamp in your picture looks like the correct part that attaches to the heater box stud to hold the starter wire harness. If you need that one better keep the part. It's definately not the correct J clip for the area you describe unless you modify. What is wrong with the original pieces??

I am missing the one on the other side. Nothing is wrong with the one I am showing you. Anybody know where I might find a correct version to match this one?

Kirk...Look at your Assembly Manual UPC 12 Sheet A5. It only shows a clip on the passenger side only. My car is the same as AM..Bill

Well, the picture is from the driver's side and sure looks like its been there forever. On the passenger side, I just have the hole and no clip. But on the passenger side I have evidence that the car was hit and damaged resulting in partial replacement of the passenger side front quarter. I assumed during this repair that they simply didn't install the original clip.

So, now all of the 67 car guys out there need to check their cars and let us know whether they have front headlight harness clips above their parking light plugs on the DS and PS or BOTH. Start chiming in. Thanks.
