    St. Louis Plant Floor Plan

    By chance does any one have or know where I can find the floor plan of the St Louis plant. I interested in seeing where the paint booths and ovens were located in the plant.

      Michael Hanson has a master from which he has made copies. He graciously provided me with one at the 2009 winter meet. Send him a PM or check the member list for his contact info.

          Stuart, he is not listed in the members here. If you have his contact info, can you ask him to contact me?

            That diagram is fairly accurate - the Paint Shop ran from east to west along the south side of the building that faced Natural Bridge Avenue; the left side of the building in the photo below, behind the water tower.

              Odd. I looked in the member list myself, and as was mentioned, Michael Hanson is not listed.

              When I searched the site for his name, via the search feature, I find posts he had left in the past (last one in February).
              Yet those prior posts give no indication he is no longer a registered member of the TDB.
              Does anyone know if Michael Hanson left the club.....?

                  Steven and Ridge;

                  I will send you PM's with my last known E-Mail address for Michael. I have not seen him or heard from in a while. I did not see him at the winter meet either. He has other close friends here on the board who might be able to comment about his status. Sure hope he's ok. We've been losing some of our members of late for various reasons.

                    Mike Hanson is in fine health. He is not currently a member of NCRS.

                      Yep. If memory serves, the floor plan was supposed to have been circa 1968.

                        The building really only changed once after 1953; an addition on the west end in 1964 provided a more organized Final Process (repair) area, and the in-plant trackwell and receiving area was enlarged in 1963. Both were done to cope with 2-shift production.

                          Thank you Michael for passing on that information.

                          Even though the overall membership had grown considerably in this past year to a year and a half (primarily with positive, young people), it seems to me that too many older veteran members have left the club.

                          I only hope the NCRS president has inquired as to why this is happening. My senses are telling me it isn't because a competitor club has lured them away....
