    1967 Corvette L-71 Suspension

    Hi Guys,

Please confirm the suspension differences available on a 67 L71. Not all L71 cars where F41 cars right? But all L71's had 7 leaf rear springs? If someone could define the standard suspension L71 and then the F41 suspension L71 that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Dave

F41 was optional on big blocks and not available on small blocks. F41 was not required for L71 but was required for L88. F41 included different coil springs, a 7 leaf rear spring, different front and rear shocks, and a thicker front sway bar. A non-F41 L71 would have the 9 leaf spring.

According to the '67 dealer order form, it was a little more complicated than that .

As I interpret the form, F41 was only available as a separate RPO with L71 (not L36 or L68).

J56 HD brakes was available with any BB, though.

Del -- the rear sway bar came with ALL big blocks (9/16" dia.); you couldn't get it on a small block, in 1967. If you had a '67 L71 or L88 with F41, it still had the same sway bar.

Oops; Rich beat me too it .

According to the ECL chart, F-41 was only available with L-71 or L-88; should also have been available with L-89, but the ECL chart doesn't show it.
