It looks like the terminal screw on an earlier horn relay, let me know, I have a spare.

Thanks for the offer Jack. Although I am still not quite sure of the size. I posted it as a possible 1/4 inch, not true. I have a 10/32 in there now and it is a little loose.

I do not know the size of the relay term screw. I will take another look to determine what will fit.

Maybe I missed it, but what is the length and thread size of this screw?

            Hard Part? Come on...

The same fastener was used on all '71 and later QJets with an idle stop solenoid. I pick 'em up ROUTINELY at the scrap yards. Plus, just about any local carb shop will have the bracket as well as the screw in their misc parts stache.

Some of the pix are 'close' but why not see the real McCoy item removed from the carb & solenoid bracket?

"Close"? If you compare the pictures of the screw that I removed from my 71 Bowtie car CEC bracket just for these pictures and Patrick's, they are identical. It seems the your screw is a different thread and the tip differs?

What I'm telling you is the pix is of an untouched, factory original, QJet curb idle solenoid plate fastener. Are you making the assumption that Rochester and Carter had only ONE supplier source for these fasteners?

The ones I own (yes, there are more than one probably 4) all look the same. That's all I know.

FWIW, my '72 Qjet's screw is identical to those shown in Kevin's and Patrick's posts - slightly different than the one shown in Jack's post.
