I purchased a 1960 after market BW T-10 shifter (original style repop) and linkage from CC for a 60 Vette I am working on.
Installation went fairly smooth, however, the reverse rod had to be attached from the outside of the shift linkage rod; not from the inside as depicted in the assembly and various other manuals. If attaching from the inside, the bend in the rod was at too much of an angle to attach to the transmission reverse lever that points down, and caused the adjusting sleeve to bind.
Any one have this problem? Also, if any one has bought an after market shifter like this, have you run into any problems with shifting into reverse?
The pic shows how the rod is supposed to be attached from the factory, but I had to insert the rod so it is facing inward.
Thx in advance,
Jim
