Does anyone go with the dated clamps, is it worth it point wise , where can you get them, how much.

Re: Dated Radiator Hose Clamps
Jim, from a "personal desire" standpoint I think it's nice to have correct and dated hose clamps. From a "points lost/gained" standpoint I can't answer that. Funny thing though that it seems to be the little details that stand out so prominently that people notice.
I get mine from eBay and Corvette Forum. Some go 'junking' in salvage yards for them.

Re: Dated Radiator Hose Clamps
I think Paragon will date them for you. three years ago I searched for hours at Carlise for one air clamp with the proper date, no luck, Went on ebay that night and found one for $5.00.Jack Corso

Re: Dated Radiator Hose Clamps
It is better to use 'REAL' Whettic clamps, I broke down and bought a pair of the dated repro from a 'well known' source and could not get them to seal. Didn't want to 'glue/seal' on the hoses and have to cut them off next time I tried to remove them so put my old trusty Whittek ones on and they sealed just fine. There was a recent thread on this same subject so poke around a bit.

Re: Dated Radiator Hose Clamps
I also got mine from LIC supply for a C2 - used them for judging and then took them off right away - twice I had problems with them when I tried to leave them on. Seems to be if you just touch them alittle they tend to leak. After cleaning my engine compartment twice in a year and 1/2 and being done with judging I leave tower clamps off my upper hose. Good luck.- Top
