    56-57 door post removal sequence

I've done enough 61-62 doors that I can do them in my sleep. However, on this 57 I'm helping with, the top outer reveal molding mounts differently than 61-62 does. (Factory change). What's the sequencing between window, door post, and reveal molding? Door post is detached from all other hardware, including front bolt that is hidden under dum dum and resin--window tracks are removed. What's the sequence from here on out?
    Thanks!

    Mike,
I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm right at the point of attempting to reassemble the doors on my '61. Do you have any notes or advice on how to do it? Thanks.

Mike, if I remember correctly the sequence is as follows. If you need a copy of the AIM page let me know. Gary....
      - remove door end cap
      - remove door outer reveal stainless steel
      - remove window, regulator and track
      - remove door post

Mike and Gary; that is how I did it a number of years ago and I had no problem.

        Good Luck!

If that's the sequence, how do you get the front screw that holds the outer reveal molding to it's retainer? The window is in the way.

remove the rear channel(slip it down and out, don't try up and out--that won't work) then remove the window glass with its frame. then you can get to that pesky little phillips screw on the front edge of the stainless trim with fuzzy. ya might try prayin a little more too. mikie

This jogged my memory. I had a bit of trouble with the little screw and was careful not to tear up the phillips--and not to drop it and lose it forever.
