    Lonely Looking Spot

Hmmm. Wonder what well know NCRS member took the ZR-1, with VIN #74, out of this spot at the NCM?? Congratulations.

Oh we know. I was sorry to miss that, but I had duty (of a different kind) as well. A little bird told me someone might have done a screen capture, I hope. Hey Flash, did you get it?

I hope he gets it home OK, blue painter's tape and all.

He was also able to pick that #74 to match one of his other cars.

Yeah, I got it...all except the drive out. The car was there on Delivery 6, but by the time the camera refreshed, the spot was empty. I've heard those ZR1s were fast.

Vinnie's call explains why the camera got a nice smile just before the drive out.

You shudda' watched the show live...no reruns.

There's 112 pics. Most aren't changing much, but here's three nice ones at the end: First pic is the "Thank you for letting me do this, Honey" picture, the second is the mystery man about to climb in the passenger side for the drive out, and the third is the nice smile for the camera.

Thanks Chuck. I missed the whole thing -- I was unsuccessfully trying to finagle a ride in one them in Effingham. I didn't have enough clout (that's a Chicago term) to get one. You should see a ZR1 in the mud. Actually even a Z06 doesn't do well in the mud.

I think the mystery man should tell us how the ride home was.

I missed you in Effingham Terry, I was wanting to get a ride in your Z06.

                              Jim,
If only I had known you were there.
Due to other commitments I didn't get there until about 4 PM Saturday. I found out the Z06 doesn't work too well in the mud. I didn't get stuck, but it was a ride I don't want to repeat leaving about 9 PM. I chose not to brave the mud for Sunday, and went home straight from the motel.
Short story -- I was only there for a couple of hours, and most of those were in the rain.
