    holley advice please

i'm running a driver, no performance stuff. 427, hydraulic, 390 hp, edelbrock dual plane intake.
my preferred carb is my old holly 3310-3 4160, although i have an 1815 600 cfm i could use. any thoughts on which carb to use??
this morning, i took off the base plate to replace the two primary throttle plates which had holes in them.
both my primary and secondary shafts have some wobble. the primary shaft is round at .375, but the throttle side of the body has an enlarged hole, as expected, up to .395 in diameter. did not measure the secondary; ran out of time. the office required my time. yuk! anyhow, i have not worked on this carb for about eight years, at which time i drilled the two holes in the plates.

question: i remember [from 8 years ago] now that i got hold of some teflon bushings to take up the wobble and to seal the primary shaft hole.
where can i get these bushings; are they still availabe??

also, to rebush the base plate will be about $80 for both shafts. that still leaves potential problems with flatness of the primary metering block etc, although i have not noticed any abnormal fuel leaking etc.

final question: i can buy a new carb for about $270. is it worth screwing around with bushings etc?? is the .395 diameter out of round enough to cause a problem for a street driver?? sorry to ramble!

if you can't do the repairs yourself i would buy a new carb and save trouble and money. the teflon bushing come only in holley master rebuild kits and not all holley throttle shafts are grooved for the teflon bushings
