    Corvette jack choice

Let's say I have a February built 1970 Corvette and I have a choice of two jacks, one a 69M and the other an 0B. Which would be the one you'd pick if you were going to have your Corvette NCRS judged?

    Thanks,
    Scott

And your car is built when in February? If early or late in the month, it could make a difference.

      Hi Scott,
Just for frame of reference my 71 mid-January jack has '0L'.

02771, early February. The JG is silent on any particular cut-off date in a month regarding items like that so I figured that if a car was built in February and a jack was built the same month it might pose a deduction risk. I guess that might need to be a footnote in future JGs?

        Thanks,
        Scott

November or December '70 is fine but what if it had 1A? Coin flip?

Why would it pose a deduction risk? A late in the month car certainly could have a jack or any other component manufactured earlier that same month.
And why put something in a manual to that effect? We can't anticipate every unwise thing that someone might do in restoring their car and legislate against it. Judges are seasoned people who know their stuff.
Doing your research and understanding the whole production line process and parts supply process needs to be part of restoration.
I'm not trying to be negative or confrontational--I just see it very differently than you do.

              Do your research.
I don't want to be negative or confrontational either, but,
Isn't that what he is doing in asking? Do we want people asking questions or not?
If the answer is either one, then give him the answer.

                Either would be acceptable.

You take the '9M because I have February 12, '70 #3537 car with the original jack, handle & spring, and that is what the car came with. See, wasn't that easy?
