Posting a picture of my original '63 hood support bracket and original inner fender. Note the rivet hole on top of the bracket was drilled on the wrong side relative to the pre-drilled hole in the inner fender - where the fender is clearly indented to countersink the large flat rivet head.
Instead it looks like the factory just drilled a second hole and installed a crude rivet - the head's been ground down for a smaller profile.
Trying to decide if I want to re-produce this on my new front end.
The AIM, doesn't appear to show the top rivet all. This is a late Dec. '62 car. Anyone else run into this configuration?
