James, riveting is easy it just requires a touch that after pounding on a few you will get the feel. The best thing is get a couple rivet sets and practice on a couple of pieces of scrape metal. You will get the feel of how much air pressure to use on the gun plus how hard to push on your bucking bar. These aluminum rivets are soft and are like butter to set.

Everytime I read discussions regarding rivet installations, I still walk away confused. I'm hearing tool terms such as: air chisel, clecos pliers, gun, bucking bar, semi tubular rivet set tool, rivet tool punch, dolly, flat-ended tod, hammer, etc. They say pictures are worth a thousand words. Does someone know if a rivet setting (pictorial) guide exists for the hobbyist?

Here's a book. I'm not sure how good it is. you can also check with aircraft tool store links I put up they may have a book that helps. The same basics apply to sheet metal as fiberglass. I would think that most books would be based on aircraft sheet metal riveting.
