Hi
I'm trying to replace the Upper Seals on an Original Inner Fender for a 67 Corvette. This is the seal that seals the inner fender to the upper surround (front and back). The weatherstrip I purchased the leg that slides over the fender is not long enough so I can't utilize the existing staple holes that are there. The staple holes would show and I don't really want to fill these staple holes in and start over. Has anyone found a workaround to this or what do you do when you replaced these? My only thought is to cut the web in the weatherstrip between the slot that slides over the fender and the bulbous area of the weatherstrip so I can slide it down enough to catch the staple holes. I've got two sets of weatherstrip here and these are the best of the two.
