Hi everyone,
I've been using Jim Shea's papers to get my horn working on a 69 Tilt/Tele column and have a couple of questions.
Does the contact assembly spring simply press against the 3 contacts on the Horn Contact Carrier or is there a more specific placement? The most secure I've found is to have the end of the spring, which connects at the 12 o'clock contact, go on the outside of the contact whereas with the other 2 contacts the spring sits on the inside of the contacts. Reason I ask is it still seems very easy to move out of position leading to no horn.
Also, should the upper shaft, the one that slides in and out and carries the horn contact, be lubricated in some way?
Thanks,
Jack
