1969 Convertible Body Shims
I have a 1969 convertible doing a frame off restoration. Now (finally) going to install the body on the frame. The only body mount with shims was #3 on the drivers side with 4 shims and all other locations having no shims. Since it was all apart, I took it to a friend at a body shop with a frame machine (had to go back to manufacturer for dimensions) to check it out. The major issue was the distance between the two upper control brackets. My question is, do I install the shims before installing the body or leave them off ? Thanks for any advice.
