65 66 67 mirror gasket tan or dark paper?

I believe the gasket for side mirrors on 65 66 67 should be dark paper. But, if you view the judging manuals all three show a color picture of a tan gasket, very confusing can someone clarify? The print does state dark/black paper?

Hi- I tend to agree with you- I have a fairly early 66, and I believe that the side mirror, gasket, and the door paint are original.
I can't tell what material the gasket is made of without removing the mirror, but it definitely is black/dark.IMG_20230105_181955618.jpgIMG_20230105_182126186.jpg

I have an original paint 67 that has a dark/black gasket, not sure where the tan comes from but I am going with dark gray/black
