    How to Store a Vintage Car

    Folks,

    I have revised my PDF storage How to Store a Vintage Automobile.pdfdocument to black on white. Yes, white on black will use a ton of black ink. I printed out a Duke PowerPoint presentation that was white on black and it nearly emptied out a new black cartridge. Mistake on my part.

    Gary, I know you did this - thank you, but I want to fix my original and add a section for long term storage. And this needs to be a new thread - not a follow on hijacking to 2 other member threads.

    Paul, I only used an ZDDP additive when the engine was first run. After that just SJ,CK oil.

    Looking for some input for long term storage, that is storage in excess of 2 years. What comes to mind is;

    1. Empty the fuel tank and run the engine out of gas.

    2. Remove the battery.

    3. Squirt oil into the cylinders thru the spark plug holes.

    4. Don't know what to say about brake fluid, based on Duke's recent comments.

    5. When removing from storage install new tires immediately.

    6. Anything else? Looking for input
