    1963 Outer Rear Axle question

    I am rebuilding a set of 63 TA's and noticed one axle has a reverse Z cast into it. I never noticed that before on any of the 63-4 TA's I rebuilt. Anyone know what that means? It appears to be an original axle and it is a press fit axle so it's not an early slip fit.

      Gary,

      Don't have an answer to your queston, but for what its worth, I have a '63 spindle exactly like yours but with the letter "X" cast into the end.
