2004 Z06 Battery Configuration

In getting my Z06 ready for judging I don't understand the TIMAG description for the 50% deduction on non-original Delco battery replacements. it says "In order to receive the standard 50% deduction for a current Delco replacement battery in a 2004 corvette the Battery is ACDB24R AGM." My original battery is a group 86 which you can't get any more. When I replaced my original, all I could find was a Group 86PG. I've attached a picture of my original for clarity and my current battery that needs replacing. Any suggestion as to which Delco replacement I need????

You can still buy the 86 as G, PG or PS, and that's the size that ACDelco suggests for your car.
The batteries likely change faster than the manuals, so I'd go with an 86.

I would recommend the Delco group 86 and go with the PG series
The PG deignation has more CCA and carries a full 4 year replacement not prorated
I use this series in all my Corvettes no matter the group size

Frank: My 2004 Z06 was judged at a Chapter meet in 2021 with the Blue AC Delco 86PS Battery and this past Saturday at the Lakeland Regional with the Gold AC Delco 86PS Battery. Both times I received a 50% deduction. Notice that the same number 88865255 appears at the bottom of both labels. Also, both batteries were purchased from my local Chevy dealer after they looked up the correct battery replacement for the car.
