Rebuild question-C2 parking brake

I have my shiny new SS parts for my rebuild-my question is: how do I properly position the actuator? Is it necessary to remove the clip at the joint? not sure how to do that -Is there a tool for that? Input appreciated.IMG_0073.jpg

You have to slip it in place, as you know, but you shouldn't have to remove the clip. It is tricky to do with the axle in place. I suggest you test fit the parts before installing. Check the hold down pin heads, they should be sharp like an arrowhead. You may find the shoes hit the rotor hat I machine the star wheels now with every kit I get.
