    66 427 425 fuel pump

I know there are numerous threads on this and I've tried to read them all so I apologize if this is a rehash.
I have to replace the fuel lines from the pump to the carb, mine were "modified" sometime ago and a rubber gas line was inserted in the middle, clearly not right from all perspectives. The pump is not original and although it worked fine there seem to be some inexpensive replacement pumps out there. Rock Auto has an Airtex pump for $24.57 cdn for instance. (It worries me its that inexpensive!) I don't mind spending money on a correct pump but from what i can discern it doesn't really exist. This car was an april 66 build.
Can anyone suggest a replacement pump to buy, the proper line to purchase and any addl fitting if required.
I've read a 67 427 replacement pump and the L88 fuel line is a correct fit for this car. If its the right way to go for fit and safety then I'm happy at this point to do it.
I just don't want to waste money on the wrong parts or have to fight to make it fit.
    Appreciate any advice, tks
    Dan
