In Noland Adams Technical Guide Vol 2 he shows pictures of a Prototype L78 396 Coupe & he says it may have been VIN 100046 on page 278.
He also show a Pilot Line L78 coupe and does not mention the Vin on page 279.
Both the above have side pipes.
Does anyone know anymore about these Corvettes?

VIN "46" had block stamped T0630IF on block casting NAFN1, per Adams on page 312, (Vol 2). I don't know where it is.

By the way, VIN "6022", a red coupe at one time had a 396 engine. That's not the one referenced by Mr. Adams. It's engine was originally 327.

As long as you are posting some historical info, I hope you don't mind another possible contribution.
Is this 'Chevrolet Dealer Letter' (regarding the 396 engine intro) common knowledge within the L78 Community?
If not, I thought I'd share it here, but ask one simple favor... PLEASE DO NOT POST IT ELSEWHERE!
