65 Coupe window regulator rebuild procedure

Can I remove the regulator without removing side glass and vent window post? If so, is there a rebuild procedure for such?

Dave, the servicing guide says to remove the window glass first, but with the window held up in a fully raised position (like with duck tape or a clamp) you may be able to get it out through the large access hole once you detach the slider bar. I know with other cars, I have done it this way. Can't remember if the C-2 Coupes can also be done like that, but I don't see why not. If I've forgotten something , I am sure someone will chime in.

Depending on what you want to do to your regulator, yes it can be rebuilt. The rollers and the big gear are available. The rollers are fairly easy to fix, the gear a bit more trouble.

No. The regulator will hit the forward window track on the vent assy, you need to remove the vent glass assy prior to removing the regulator. It's not a big deal, follow the procedure in the service manual and it comes apart without problems. Remember to remove the side glass stops, belt moulding and lower adjusting stud on the forward window track before removing the glass and vent assy. The regulator is spring loaded, follow the safety procedures when disassembling it.
