I just bought a new master cylinder cap from Paragon. The color does not match my current cap color. My old cap is a dark solid gold color and the new one one is more yellowish and no where near as deep in color. I know they are supposed to be cadmium dichromate plated but not sure which color is correct. Can someone help me.....

Re: 66 Master Cylinder color
Both can be correct.
It depends on age, how long they spent in the dip tank, how nice the underlying plating (zinc or cad) was prior to the dichromate dip, etc.
Is your current one the original, or an older repro?Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Re: 66 Master Cylinder color
If they're both repros, then both may be incorrect.
I would probably lean toward the lighter colored one, but feel free to post a photo of them side-by-side for comparison.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS
