1962 pass. p/w switch

The 1962 pass. side p/w switch works intermittantly. I have removed the switch from the bezel, and removed wire clips at each end of the switch. I cannot see what to do next. I do not want to pry more than I have already done, and would like to avoid breaking plastic. Could someone give suggestions?
