    1960 interior mirror base and courtesy light, original or repos?

    My 1960 interior mirror base is original but has pitting, thinking about rechromeing it or buying a repo, is the repo close enough to not loose originality points or should I rechrome?
    Also is there a replacement courtesy lamp housing available or should I keep looking for used originals?
