I have got a '65 Corvette with KH wheels (repro) and previously I neither worked under the car nor removed the wheels. At the moment I'm considering enhancing my tool equipment BUT I'm not sure which way to go:
Either buy a car lift (could remain under the car, 2-column lift not suitable for my garage)
for ~3.000$ (lift is made in Germany - the professional extended version - sorry description is German) or buy a floor jack together with 4 jack stands and a cross beam to lift the Corvette per axle to minimize frame torsion. Alternatively a car ramp could be an option, too. However removing the wheels would require further consideration.
I'm reluctant to use a lead hammer for the spinners since I have no experience. There is an alternative (beside buying direct bolt on wheels):
together with the appropriate torque wrench (300Nm) and long ratchet.
Your thoughts and opinions are highly appreciated.
