1965 327 L79 Water Pump 3859326 Date Code

I am trying to locate the proper water pump for my 1965 L79 Engine. The Judging Manual indicates that all water pumps were date coded. But through many hours of searches, I've found none that were date coded prior to November 1965 (for '66 application).

I find MANY posts in forums that indicate no 1965 water pumps with casting number 3859326 were NOT date coded. The NCRS Judging Manual is the only resource that I've found that indicates these pumps were date coded.

Is it possible the Judging Manual is only referring to the pumps used on Base and 300 HP engines?

Any insight would be appreciated.
