wheels on my 62 vette

I just took all 4 wheels off my 62 that i am finally working on. How can i tell that the wheels are original? I heard some where that there as some markings on them.

There are, but you need to dismount the tires to see them as they are inside the rim.

If they have two bumps next to the valve stem hole, they aren't.
If they are 15x5 and are riveted, they aren't.
If they are welded with dogbone shaped cutouts on the back, they aren't.
If they have a small valve stem hole, they aren't.
If they don't have four small nubs for hubcap retention, they aren't.
If they don't have the extra profile ring emanating from the center hub, they aren't.
If they have any date stamping or codes other than GM near the valve stem hole or near any of the bolt holes, they aren't.
Once none of the above rule out the possibility of them being correct, then it might be time to remove a tire and look for the Kelsey-Hayes logo and date stamp on the inside of the rim.

The new 6th edition 61/62 Technical and Judging Guide has a good description and pictures on pages 109, 110, 111 and 112.
