    C'mon Mike,
    if you put the 63 split window in it's own category, you know the 73' has to be in its own category too! lol

      I know, that was a tough call mechanically as far as engine options go they are pretty much the same between 73 & 74. But your right as far as body style they look very different.

      Maybe like this:

      C3.1.1 = 1973
      C3.1.2 = 1974

        For example, it took over 50yrs, but the 579E DID finally get changed to what it SHOULD have been, 579D. For years and years, I questioned 579E, it NEVER made sense to me, but who was little ole me to challenge the world??? Well, thanks to Ken Kayser for setting the world straight on that issue.
        I will take credit for one change which finally got done: gear ratio tags on the early cars. The one hole and two hole tags were reversed FOREVER, now NCRS has corrected that. We just need NCRS to OFFICIALLY notify the vendors of the needed change in their catalogs.

        Ummm...good luck with that!
        Everyone is going to have his/her preference. You want to DEMAND catalogs,etc to stop using the "C" designation. Personally I have bigger things to stress about than the "C" issue. I'm telling you, it's things like this, that make non NCRS Corvette fans think of NCRS as being a group of grumpy old men!

          Rich,
          NO, I'm wanting NCRS to express to the vendors that they change their catalog illustration of the GEAR RATIO TAGS for 57-62 models---------------the 3.36 and 3.55 tags are reversed. I AM NOT, repeat, AM NOT suggesting that NCRS get them to eliminate the C-designations.

            Whether we like them, or whether we don't . . . or even if we don't really care one way or the other - the "C" designations for the various generations of Corvettes are here to stay. That's just the way it is. Referring to them simply by year is probably your best bet. Those who understand Corvettes will know exactly what you mean, and those who don't understand Corvettes will have to go look it up, which will increase their knowledge, even if only by a little bit.
