HEI Distributor Coil Ground
Car is a 75. Recently replaced the cap and rotor. I read somewhere that I can't remember that the part in the first picture is needed for the ground but often forgotten. The cap and rotor kit had the part but I didn't use it because I think the black wire in the second picture attached to the corner bolt on the coil retainer is used for the ground. Am I wrong? The part was not used in the cap that I replaced.
