Richard Prince has an interesting Corvette Magazine article (Sept 2015) featuring employees of Corvette Racing and their backgrounds and jobs. A number of these people have been in the game a long time.
I've recently read that the 2015 Class-winning C7.R covered 2864.5 miles during the 24 Hours. Just last week, we observed on June 25/6 the 55th Anniversary of the first Corvettes to run and finish at Le Mans. Car #3 finished 8th, covering 2350.1 miles at an average of 97.9 mph. Car #4 finished 10th, covering 2307.7 miles at an average of 96.1 mph. Those of us over the age of 50 who can reach into the memory bank and remember straight axles with bias-ply tires at over 100 mph might carry that to Sunday and give a little extra as a Thank You.
