1971 Front Side Turn Signal Lens

Can you just buy the amber front side turn signal lens? All I can find is the entire housing. Seem a shame to discard the entire bracket because the lens has a crack in it.

If your 1971 has an amber lens from St Louis it is unique - one might even say it is rare.

Are you referring to the turn signal/parking lamp lens (in the grille) or the side marker lamps?

Presently the side markers are available from Trim Parts and thru all dealers as a complete assembly. The housing is Die Cast and Chrome Plated with the lens glued to the housing. Approx. price $60.00 per side.

The side marker lamp and lens was an assembly. So, there was no separate lens. If you need the lens, then you need the whole assembly.

Now that surprises me. The originals were made by Guide Division of GM. Guide was spun off by GM many years ago and, as far as I know, went bankrupt and out of business several years ago.

Most die cast emblems and small items were made for Guide by Wolverine Casting which went out of business several years ago. Wolverine Casting was famous for their Lionel Trains!!!!!! Most of their die cast dies were sold to Trim Parts. I should have said, made in the original dies!
I'm nearly sure that the logo in the new marker lights will have CMD for Custom Mold Dynamics.
