I'm seeking comments and /or photos in regards to the correct LOF Logo wording and placement on the windshield. I have the current 53-55 judging manual but I also have photos from two unrestored 54's that show the LOF logos are at an angle rather then parallel with the bottom of the glass as it sits in the frame.
Does anyone have information that would clarify the logo's wording and placement. I've seen several reproduction windshields with the supposedly correct logo but they are all parallel with the bottom of the windshield, rather than angled as seen on unrestored cars. Were the LOF logos placed in any specific location at the time the windshields were manufactured in 1954? Or were the logos placed randomly at angles? All windshields I've seen always have the logo on the right (passenger) side next to what I would consider the "A" pillar or windshield upright piece.
I've attached the photos of two unrestored cars and one repro LOF logos for reference.
Thanks, EricYager 54 LOF Logo position.jpg Hall 54 LOF Logo position.jpg 54 Repro LOF Logo.jpg
