1981 Bowling Green V.I.N. location on rear Kickup anyone have a picture
Hello All, I have a 1981 Vette Made in Bowling Green, KY. It is a theft recovery and has a state issued VIN tag on it. The motor and transmission have matching serial number tags ( they match each other) and I want to see if they match the frame. I have been looking all over the rear kick up and can't find it. I found one post in the archives that said it is centered around the # 4 body mount about 1/4 in in from the outside edge. I don't see it there. I have tried using a mirror and also I have I real nice flexible borescope camera that gets in there pretty well and I still dont see it. The post referenced the VIN on a St Louis built car so I thought maybee Cars Built in Bowling Green might be different. If anyone could post a picture from their build it shure would be a big help.
