Having a conversation with Tyler Townsley a few minutes ago confirms that the policy instituted at Old Town is still in force at Lakeland. The public is welcome to look at the cars and visit the swap meet area.
On Saturday the public will be asked to pay $5.00 for parking. Parking will be free to registered members of the NCRS.
Registration is required for those who participate in seminars, judging or vending.
Tyler will address this thread later in the evening.

I want to thank Joe for posting the information above to help clarify the 'Policy'. The balance we had in place at Oldtown seemed to work the best for all involved and we want it to continue. In order to get the Sun N Fun site we had to commit to a 3 year contract. I invite everyone to come and see what this venue has to offer before passing judgment. This venue will have the flavor of the old Cypress Gardens days with some extra events/happenings. Where else can you can park your Corvette within 100 yards of the best Corvette show in the southeast and browse through hundreds of Corvettes for free, and that's just in the parking lot, not only that but you can fly your private plane in and do the same (not me the only private plane I have hangs from the ceiling on a string). Drive to Corvette parking will be free and in a Corvette parking area, on Thurs and Friday it will be virtually on the field whereas on Saturday it will be adjacent to the site but still free for Corvettes and registered attendees. I will be posting better maps in the future to help those without GPS devices.

We could use some volunteers if you have some extra time, I have some 4 hr time slots that I could use people to help direct traffic, answer questions and just help us make things go smoothly.

If you have any questions pleas feel free to email me directly or call 863-428-1410.

    Tyler

Thanks Tyler. I'll pass this info to several people who weren't sure about the policies, entrance fees, and general information about the event for the public and non-registered members. I appreciate your reply.

And with that, please count me in as a volunteer as needed. I think I may come out to Kissimmee and check in at the Seralago for several days. I'll be going to Mecum up the road for a day or two and will plan on at least one day over in Lakeland to help out wherever you need. I'll drop you a email so we can work out a schedule of when you can best use my time. Remember I still owe you that adult beverage from that Venice Dealer's '58 inspection fiasco a few months ago too.

      Thanks,
      Rich

Sure hope those guys do not register for the event, not a party we need on site. I will use your email for times/days. Ed said he can make it to the auction site in 45 min +- 10 min from Sun N Fun using I 4 and Osceola parkway.

          Tyler,

I sent you a email last night to your ...@sprynet address, is that the right one?

So I decided to go all in. It's a 2+ hr ride from home so commuting won't be a option for me, so I'm going to get a hotel somewhere, now preferably close by to SNF and stay nearby for the whole event. I'll hit Mecum early in the week. I'd like to OJ for the '67BB's Friday and the '61/'62 Saturday, so other than those possible arrangements I'll be free to help you wherever needed for the rest of the event, Weds thru Sat. I could be there really early Weds AM if you need help in the swap area. I'll check in with you later today with a phone call or email me when you get a chance. I know your wrapped up with this stuff. To OJ I'll have to register and will do that online today. Is there a Hospitality event Thursday night somewhere.(edit... nevermind I see it's on the schedule at the Pavillion) I hope there's shrimp and chicken wings included.

          Rich
p.s. Anyone have a good idea for a reasonably priced hotel near SNF Wed night to Sat AM? I have the BIG list but if someone has done some homework already it'd be a big assist for me. Thanks.

For some reason our sticky got deleted so here is the info again:
            Hotels http://thepandatrap.com/tyler/2015%2...d%20Hotels.pdf
Call the number directly and tell them you desire to be in the NCRS room block.
General site map of hotels. http://thepandatrap.com/tyler/2015%2...ap%20large.pdf
I would call the Fairfield Inn at county line road. Its right off I 4 and an easy shot to the event and to Orlando. We do have room blocks at the Saralago and Comfort Suites in Orlando that some are using.

The reception will be chicken bones and shrimp husks with a special plate of oyster SHELLS. It will be followed by Ken making a talk on the 1953s.

Re: Winter Regional Attendance for Members and 'Walk-ins"

While someone pointed out cost of the event I found a 1990 NCRS National Registration Confirmation letter. The cost were as listed: Family registration $30, Flight judging $30, trailer parking $15 there was a deposit of $100. So all said and done the total was $75 and that is with my car judging that showed up. A bit more today?
