C3 - 1971 Intake Manifold Screw leaking

I have a 71 small block (original and not rebuilt). The intake manifold gets a small puddle of oil after driving for a length of time. It's coming from the bolt on the top (drivers side). Some one suggested that I remove the bolt, clean the threads on the bolt as well as the threads in the hole. Also suggested that I apply some sealant of some sort and insert the screw. I was told this is common on small blocks.

Can anyone speak of this from experience? Is this a good solution?
