    C1 Emergency Brake Removal

Is there a trick to removing the emergency brake pull on a '61? I've got everything loose except the nut on the engine side of the firewall (the big one). It seems to be frozen so tight that I wonder if there is a pin or something holding it. I can't find a detail of that in my AIM.
As always, thanks for your help.

If you have removed the hairpin from the nut it should come off, there is nothing holding it in place. Use penetrating oil and you should be able to back it off. Good luck.

Ed, After you take the "hair pin"off, should the cable just pull out?
      Thanks.
