A while back I posted about the wiper door solonoid and taking it appart to re-solder the winding ends and such. This didn't make the door open with the wiper switch and I thought i would have to deal with using the by-pass valve for the door for the time being. Well when I finally re-painted the wiper writch bezel and took the switch apart to clean and lube it, I made it worse due to the brittle plastic (bakelite) housing. So... after going on the Cape Cod Cruise with the National Convention group in the rain with a bad wiper switch (thanks Rain-X) AND a drive down to Carlisle, I bought a replacement switch. All of a sudden I have a working wiper door and a working wiper switch, so it was the switch all the time... now for the headlight washers!!!
