I recently purchased a new carpet set for my 1969 Corvette. The interior color is saddle which is what I ordered from Romeo Engineering. After many months of waiting I finally received the carpet set. Upon removing it from the box I thought it looked much darker than what is in the car (the carpet in the car now is obviously not origiinal to the car as it's missing the pad over the dimmer switch).
Seeing how I had such a long wait and was mislead by Romeo on a few occassions I am skeptical of their services so I am hesitant to install the carpet. If I compare what I received to the color samples on many of the vendor sites it looks like I received dark saddle for a 1971-72 Corvette instead of the correct shade of saddle for the '68-69 Corvette.
As a reference I ordered custom embroidered mats from Corvette America in saddle and the two colors are miles apart.
So far I have contacted Romeo Engineering to express my concern and received a voicemail message stating that this is the correct color carpet for my car.
Before I install this carpet does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can confirm one way or the other if this carpet is correct for my car?
