I experienced infant mortality (5 months) of the diaphram on a rebuilt fuel pump for my '63 L-75. The only reason for this purchase was to get stock fuel lines to fit as the trusty crimped replacement style that has run well for years doesn't line up correctly with the new lines I bought. But I digress.
Rebuild kit has a different size spring than what came out of the pump. The one in the pump has a 1" OD and nests inside the retaining nubs in the upper casting. The spring in the kit has a 1 1/2" OD and nests outside of the retaining nubs. I suspect no functional difference but am curious which was used on the original '4657s and which would be recommended.
Thanks.
