Currently assembling after frame off. Steering box and all suspension rebuilt. Steering box bench tests fine per ST-12. With car on jack stands, steering works perfectly. Wheel is centered (1 3/4 turns each way). 3rd. arm points directly ahead. Pitman arm cycle ends just before the steering stop. Drag link adjusted per ST-12. Toe in per spec.
Lower car to ground and it will turn left and return perfectly. It will turn right without problem but then it freezes and will not return to center. Raise car off ground and with a loud pop the steering can then be turned back to center.
There is no visible interference or rubbing. The only visible anomaly is that all 4 tie rod ends have well over an inch of thread showing.
Seems to be going over center but ??
ANY thoughts will be appreciated and tried.
Thanks John
